High Velocity Communications Adds Photojournalist / EditorJanuary 20, 2009 High Velocity Communications Inc. announces the addition of Jack Burke as an editor. Burke is currently responsible for Progress, a publication reaching the Chinese market for Peoria-based Caterpillar, the $45 billion manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and gas engines, and industrial turbines. Additionally, he is the company's web content editor and assists on several other national and international magazines. He has more than 15 years experience as an award-winning editor and news reporter. Most recently, Burke was the business editor of The Rockford Register Star, the most significant newspaper in the area. Burke had been the assistant metro editor at The Rockford Register Star for three years prior to becoming the business editor. Prior to joining the Rockford, Ill., newspaper, Burke had been an editor and reporter for eight years with The Waukesha Freeman, the major daily newspaper for Wisconsin's Waukesha County. Burke is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.
High Velocity Communications Adds Publisher / Editor January 13, 2009 High Velocity Communications Inc. announces the addition of Mark D. McNeely as a custom magazine publisher and editor. McNeely is currently responsible for new business initiatives and account management of several key publications. He has more than 20 years experience in publishing, editing, marketing, and newspaper reporting. For 15 years, McNeely was the publisher and editor for Waukesha-based Diesel Publications, publisher of Diesel & Gas Turbine Worldwide. He holds a master's degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
